Hola! This is just me and my blog about life in Arizona. I’ve lived here all my life and love everything about the state, from its rich history to its natural beautiful desert landscape.
When I’m not writing about news in Arizona, I’m usually reading books. Some of my favorite authors are Fyodor Dostoevsky, Ernest Hemingway, J.D. Salinger, C.S. Lewis, and Jane Austen. Lately, I’ve been re-reading most of John Steinbeck’s novels which hold a special place in my heart because they deal with a lot of themes particular to the great American West. And perhaps no author is better than the amazing Gabriel Garcia Márquez, who has written true works of art. Few have achieved his ability to bring poetry to every line that they write. A more contemporary author who has grabbed my attention is J.K. Rowling, who is of course the famous pen behind Harry Potter. I’m enthralled by her ability to capture the hearts and minds of a new generation of readers. My grandchildren can’t get enough of her work and are eagerly awaiting their chance to play Pottermore, a whole online world set in the Harry Potter universe. For now, I’m playing some great mobile games, including Angry Birds Epic.
